  I was seen in the ER by Dr Tosh on 11/14/2015, and this review is totally based on my opinion. I did not find him to be compassionate at all. Before going to the ER I contacted the health link nurse through MWH to see if she thought my symptoms warrant an ER visit. After giving her my medical history along with medications that I take regular or as needed she thought it could possibly be my herniated disc that was causing the extreme pain that I was experiencing. Per her advice she thought I should be seen in the ER within 4 HRS. I'll note this my visit was not for abdominal pain. I had pain in the right corner of my pelvic region that radiated down my leg and back. This was probably one of the worst pain I had everything felt. The Dr had his mind made up before examining me as to how much meds he would administer. From the time it took him to do his mediocre exam I knew this night would go down hill. My daughter who was by my side watched tearfully while I cried and shook from the excruciating pain. Because I am allergic to a list of narcotics morphine has been my go to medication for extreme pain. I was given two injections which did not even take the edge off. To make this long story short. Before leaving the hospital I had to beg and plead for mor meds to make my 30 minute drive home bearable. I left that night the way I came in. Still in excruciating pain. I would be wrong not to mention the good people who cared for me, and they were the nurses and Xray techs. If I only knew them by name. God Bless each of you. Oh for those of you who will think that I'm a pill popper you are mistaken as was, I think anyway Dr Tosh.

  My 8 month old was seen by Dr Tosh after being diagnosed by a pediatrician at Stafford hospital with a minor bacterial infection and we were told by the pediatrician that he could go home but felt better if he was transferred to Mary Washington. After we simply asked one of the nurses how much the medical transport would cost, Dr Tosh, who had not even seen our son, barged in our room to tell us we would have to take a medical transport or our son could die in front of my wife who is already concerned first time mother. I am a medical professional myself and I could not believe his arrogance and lies because he assumed we were refusing the medical transport. When I tried to explain that we simply asked the cost, he cut me off and continued with his monologue assuming that we were refusing their medical advice. Would not let me explain the wrong assumption the nurse had made. Even after I told him 4 times I fully comprehended the reasons for medical transport, he arrogantly, in a condescending tone continued to explain what I told him I understood and 4 other providers explained. Worst health care provider I ever experienced. This was after the staff spent 3hrs trying to place an IV on our 8 month old sticking him 7 times. Could have excused that if it wasn't for Dr Tosh's arrogance, assumptions, lack of listening and lack if sensitivity stating our son when die, despite the doctor who examined him said it was minor and just felt better if he had an IV due to dehydration.
